TidyBnB helps short-term rental hosts coordinate cleaning by syncing their booking calendar and sending WhatsApp reminders to the people they choose. This page explains what information we collect and how it's used.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, and either a hashed password or a Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. We never see or store your actual Google password.
- Property info: property name, address, host name, and the Airbnb calendar (iCal) URL you provide.
- Contacts: the name, WhatsApp number, and role (e.g. cleaner, property manager) of anyone you choose to notify about a property.
- Booking data: check-in/check-out dates read from your Airbnb calendar feed, used to determine when a cleaning reminder is due.
How we use it
We use this information solely to operate the service: displaying your calendars, sending WhatsApp cleaning reminders via Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform to the contacts you've assigned, and authenticating you into your account. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Third-party services
We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run TidyBnB:
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — to deliver cleaning reminder messages.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google; we receive your email address and Google account ID, nothing else.
- Resend — to send password-reset emails.
- Vercel and Neon — hosting and database infrastructure.
Data retention and deletion
You can remove a calendar or contact at any time from your dashboard, which deletes it immediately. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
Security
Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Sessions are managed with signed, httpOnly cookies. Each property's public calendar link uses an unguessable random token rather than a predictable identifier.
